An Evening at Klong Hae Floating Market Hat Yai Thailand – I was in Hat Yai Southern Thailand sometimes ago. After spent sometimes in George Town in Penang, I took a shuttle service to go to Hat Yai. It was about 8 hours drive and sometimes at the immigration check on the border.

Based on my search on internet, I found that there were several must visit places in Hat Yai. One of these places was the floating market. So, when I made arrangement of the day trip with Uncle Pee Boon, I put the floating market on the list of places to visit. Uncle Pee Boon is one of the English speaking guide and Tuk-tuk driver in Hat Yai, Southern Thailand. I recommend you to have his service when you plan to visit Hat Yai.

We visited some beautiful places after had breakfast at a local street food stall. We had dishes which local Thai people usually have in the morning. All was delicious and cheap.

Uncle Pee Boon told us that the floating market will be the last place to visit on our day tour. That was the reason why we spent an evening at Klong Hae Floating Market Hat Yai Thailand. He said the sellers opens their stalls mostly in the afternoon until evening.

We agreed with Uncle’s proposal. On the other hands, we was curious how big the river is. Arrived at the complex, Uncle parked his tuk-tuk at the parking are which is like 5 minutes walk to the market. There were a big crowd of visitor when we arrived because of dancing performance by a university’s students.

There were a lot of Thai food offered by the seller. Most stalls on the river sold food and beverage. They were varies, served in unique way and definitely all were delicious.  I loved their young coconut, fresh and sweet.

In addition to this floating market, there were an area occupied with food and souvenir sellers. I loved their fresh cooked seafood. Do not forget to try the Thai specialty which is mango and sticky rice. It is a must have food when you are in Thailand. It was easy to get halal food in this area if you do not eat pork.

In short, an Evening at Klong Hae Floating Market Hat Yai Thailand well spent. Three of us had a very yummy food and drinks and got some souvenirs for our loved ones. Moreover, the traditional dancing made our evening more beautiful. We really were in Thailand!

Certainly, bring umbrella or hat with you if you came during the lunch time. Its hot and sweating. In conclusion, it is recommended to visit Klong Hae Floating Market when you are in Hat Yai, Southern Thailand.
