Enjoyable Stay at Orange Pekoe Guesthouse Bukit Bintang – Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysua which has many interesting places to visit. Have you ever heard about Petronas Tower, Batu Caves Temple or Alor Street? I believe some of you even have visited at least one of this place if you ever been to Kuala Lumpur.
Alor Street or local called it as Jalan Alor, is located in Kuala Lumpur Golden Triangle area, the most favorite area for tourists. You can find a lot of hawker stalls and seafood restaurant along Alor Street. We can call it is the heart or main destination for those who wanted to try local food.
It is just behind Bukit Bintang area where modern and great shopping malls are stand along the road. Besides, you can easily find bar, pub and coffee shops in this area. Yeah, Golden Triangle of Kuala Lumpur is the most famous and favorite areas for tourist and some local for dining. You could choose whatever dishes you like such as Chinese food, seafood, barbeque, noodles and many more.
As the access to Alor Street and Bukit Bintang is alwasy busy. Some people are prefer to stay near the Golden Triangle area if we wanted to go to Alor Street. Anyway, Bukit Bintang is my favorite area to stay when I am in Kuala Lumpur.
Golden Triangle itself, moreover, offers a lot of restaurants and shopping outlets other than Jalan Alor. By staying at Bukit Bintang area, I can easily enjoy my dinner at Alor Street, go to Pavilion Mall, take KL free bus from a shuttle at Nagasari Street, take Monorail from Raja Chulan Station or MRT from Bukit Bintang Station.
I found several affordable accommodation to stay at Bukit Bintang area while I am in Kuala Lumpur. One of them is Orange Pekoe Guesthouse Bukit Bintang. Why i chose this guest house? Because it has good review from all who stayed at Orange Pekoe Guethouse.
Orange Pekoe Guesthouse got 7.5 review score at Booking.com while at Agoda, its score is 8.0 (early 2020). These score show that Orange Pekoe Guesthouse is recommended accommodation to stay.
Some people said that it is not easy to find this property since it is a little bit hidden. Orange Pekoe building stands among the small stores at Jalan Angsoka, Bukit Bintang. It is next to a local restaurant, if I am not mistaken it is Bangladeshi restaurant and mobile phone outlet.
The building of Orange Pekoe Guesthouse is painted in orange color, just like its name. It is a 4 floors building without elevator. Therefore, you should need to consider your luggage size when you plan to stay at this property.
My friends and I took a family room while we were there. The room is on the 4th floor. It has 2 single beds and 1 queen size bed, fit to 4 person. Bathroom is completed with hot and cold water and liquid soap. You do not need to bring towels since clean towel is provided for the guests.
The room was clean and nice. Spacious for 4 (four) of us. No cabinet provided for our stuffs so please manage your belongings properly. All aircon worked well so the room was comfortable to stay in the heat of Kuala Lumpur.
The room rate of Orange Pekoe Guesthouse is included simple breakfast. Bread, jam, bananas, coffee and tea are served in the dining area. You could have them every morning until 10:00 AM. Besides the breakfast, the owner also provides refrigerator and microwave. All guests could use it if they bought their own food and wanted to keep or warm it.
For me and my friends, it was an enjoyable stay at Orange Pekoe Guesthouse Bukit Bintang during our last trip to Kuala Lumpur. It was fun! We went to Alor Street on foot, only about 10 minutes walk. Bus stop to Central Market just a short distance away. Some malls also very close to Orange Pekoe Guesthouse. Restaurants, convenience stores and small cafe are around this area as well. The location of Orange Pekoe Guesthouse is very strategic.
We wanted to return to Orange Pekoe Guesthouse when we are back to Kuala Lumpur again in the future. It is recommended!
